Work Based Learning (WBL) Contracts Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Portal family as a Work Based Learning Contracts Manager. 

The role involves the management of allocated Welsh Government contracts alongside leading our team of assessors in achieving specific KPIs. This is an excellent development opportunity for an individual who wishes to further their career within contract management. Training and mentoring is offered as part of the role to enhance ability to profile Welsh Government contracts and promote contract growth. 

The successful candidate will have previously managed people and performance within the WBL sector. They will also be experienced in using Microsoft Office applications. A qualification held in either leadership and/or management is desirable as is the ability to speak Welsh.

The role is based at Portal’s Office in Cardiff and reports to the Director of Operations. 

Travel across Wales is to be expected as supporting our team of assessors is essential, therefore a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is also required.

Leadership and Management Assessor

Are you an experienced Manager who is passionate about the development of others? Are you interested in offering management qualifications to individuals through your own diary management? If so, we want to hear from you!

We are looking for assessors, across Powys, North and South East Wales, to join our ILM Management Team. The role involves assessing and training candidates on the Level 4/5 Higher Apprenticeship in Leadership and Management Programme, which includes the delivery of Essential Skills Wales qualifications.

The successful applicants will have previously worked within a leadership and/or managerial role and possess a great attitude and willingness to adapt and develop themselves further. Experience of using Microsoft Office applications is essential. A qualification held in either leadership and management or assessment practice is desirable however full training will be given if required. V1/PGCE or equivalent qualifications are also desirable.

Daily travel to visit candidates within allocated areas is to be expected, therefore a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.

Basic Salary: From £28,000 to £32,000 per annum based on experience and qualifications held, PLUS an additional £500 for Welsh medium delivery.

Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week), although reduced hours will be considered.
